Charles Moore's Free Museum in Bath

Photographic image of a drawing of the palaeontologist Charles Moore's (1815-1881) fossil collection which he displayed in a Free Museum, a room at the Bath Royal Literary and Scientific Institute, Terrace Walk, Bath from the 1850s. Moore himself appears in the image, at the front, towards the centre beside an exhibition case. Also in the same image is a model of the Iguanodon produced by Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins after his larger reconstructions at Crystal Palace. The bust in the middle may be of William Smith (1769-1839). Albumen print
