Commemorative book on the Arbeitsmaiden, 1941

Arbeitsmaiden, commemorative RADwJ gift book published by Deutscher Verlag in 1941. The RADwj was the Women's Reich Labour Service - Reichsarbeitsdienst and the Arbeitsmaiden, literally Labour Maidens, essentially young women who participated in the Reich Labour Service (Reichsarbeitsdienst which was abbreviated and more commonly known as RAD. The Arbeitsmaiden's primarily worked on farms or with children and their role was similar in many ways to England's Land Girls'. The Arbeitsmaiden, consisting of young women were extensively photographed and numerous photographic propaganda books, postcards, artworks and magazines featured them. 48 page photographic book
