Die Sirene (civil defence title) No. 26
Die Sirene, No. 26, December 1937. Illustrated magazine of the Reich Air Protection League (Reichsluftschutzbund), devoted to civil defence and air-raid preparedness in pre-war Germany. Features a striking Christmas-themed cover showing a paper-cut silhouette design entitled Das luftgeschutzte Haus' ('The Air-Protected House'), created by Munich school pupil Aloysius Biller. The cover combines traditional German folk-art motifs with civil-defence symbolism, illustrating the growing integration of air-raid protection into everyday life and education before the Second World War. Interior articles feature rural life, regional traditions and community preparedness. Published in Berlin
