Der Aufbau - Alleiniges Amtliches Organ der N.S. Hugo - No 4, Year 3 - 28th February 1935 (National Socialist Handwork, Trade and Marketing Organisation of the DAF (German Labour Front). The cover highlights collecting for the annual WHW campaign, and shows and shames a WHW Denier'. The WHW - Winterhilfewerk (Winter Relief Fund of the German People) was a public foundation which collected donations with the money raised used to support the needy, peoples comrades and other causes deemed worthy by the regime. Although a voluntary cause those who refused a donation could sometimes suffer violence and intimidation.
