EXTRA-POST - German Resistance Propaganda Leaflet, 6 April 1945. Side 1 - Rare late-war German propaganda publication issued under the title EXTRA-POST: Das Neueste fur die Truppe ('The Latest News for the Troops'), dated 6 April 1945. Produced during the final weeks of the Second World War, the leaflet attempts to maintain morale among German troops and civilians by emphasising alleged divisions between the Western Allies and the Soviet Union. Published as Allied forces advanced into western Germany and the Ruhr Pocket was being encircled, it provides a striking example of the increasingly desperate propaganda distributed during the collapse of the Third Reich.
