Koralle, Wochenschrift fur Unterhaltung, Wissen, Lebensfreude. - No 18, Year 9, 30th April 1941 - The cover shows the British Foreign Secretary, Anthony Eden and sarcastically mocks his attempts to secure and bolster the Greek and Yugoslav governments and create a coalition of Balkan states to oppose the Axis powers. Germany scuppered Eden's mission by invading both countries on the 6th April. Yugoslavia surrendered to Germany on the 17th, and and Greece on the 27th April. Koralle was one of numerous weekly publications at that time which covered topical events, art, film, fashion, celebrity and lifestyle
