RAD commemorative publication, 1935

For the 1935 Nuremberg rally the RAD newspaper Der Arbeitsdienst (The Labour Service - Reichsarbeitsdienst) issued a rare special rally photographic commemorative magazine about the RAD day and Wehrmacht day at the rally. Titled Arbeitsdienst und Wehrmacht - Deutschlands Freiheit (Labor service and Wehrmacht - Germany's freedom) it shows ithis in 48 pages of dramatic and highly visual photographs of the rally and its main RAD events. The Fuhrer to the Reich Labor Service introduces the magazine with these words: My Workers! One of the boldest program points of the National Socialist movement is this: to free the nation, previously divided into classes, from its disunity and to fuse it into a unified body. Just one sentence! But an enormously great attempt! Today we see that this attempt is becoming more and more realised. I only wish that all Germans in the Reich could see you, my German comrades, at this very moment
